Repurpose Testimonials into Marketing Gold

Repurpose Testimonials Into Marketing Gold

Turn kind words into client-generating content — on repeat.

Background & Why This Matters

You’ve helped people. They’ve thanked you.

Maybe they sent a DM saying “This changed my life” or filled out a feedback form with glowing praise. But then what? Most testimonials get buried in emails, DMs, or spreadsheets — never to be seen again.

Repurposing testimonials into marketing content allows you to:

  • Build trust faster with potential clients
  • Highlight real results without sounding salesy
  • Fill your social media, emails, and website with proof — not just promises

What You’ll Achieve

You’ll create a system to:

  • Collect and organize testimonials (even from DMs or emails)
  • Turn those testimonials into multiple content formats
  • Automate sharing across your marketing channels
  • Position yourself as a trusted expert — backed by real client results

What to Expect After Setup

  • An always-ready bank of high-converting content
  • More social proof across all your touchpoints
  • Clients who say, “I saw that story and it reminded me to reach out”

What You’ll Need

You’ll only need 30-60 minutes and free/low-cost tools to get started:

  • Testimonial collection like Tally.so, Typeform, Google Forms, screenshots
  • content repurposing like ChatGPT, Canva, Notion, Metricool
  • Scheduling tool (optional) like Later, Planoly, Buffer, Canva Pro

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Collect and Centralize Testimonials

  1. Create a Tally form or Google Form with:
    • Name (optional)
    • “What result did you achieve?”
    • “What would you tell someone considering this service?”
    • Consent checkbox to share publicly
  2. For existing testimonials:
    • Screenshot DMs or emails
    • Store in a folder or a Notion database

Step 2: Categorize by Theme

Organize testimonials by:

  • Service (e.g., coaching, nutrition, massage)
  • Outcome (e.g., pain relief, confidence, energy boost)
  • Format (text, video, audio, screenshot)

This helps you match testimonials to relevant promotions or content later.

Step 3: Use AI to Repurpose Into Content

Prompt ChatGPT with: “Turn this client testimonial into 3 pieces of content:

  1. Instagram caption
  2. Website blurb
  3. Email snippet. Keep the tone friendly and highlight the result.”

Paste the quote and tweak as needed.

Step 4: Design Templates in Canva

  1. Create a branded “Testimonial Template” in Canva
    • Use client name (or “Client”), short quote, and their result
    • Add brand colors, a soft gradient, or a text overlay
  2. Make 5–10 variations so you can rotate over time
  3. Optionally include before/after images, if available and approved

Step 5: Schedule or Batch Your Shares

  1. Upload graphics to Later, Planoly, or Canva Scheduler
  2. Add context in captions: “This is why I do what I do ❤️ Sarah came in dealing with chronic fatigue — and left with more energy than she’s had in years.”
  3. Add calls to action: “Curious what this could look like for you? Let’s chat.”
