Step-by-Step Instructions

Let’s walk through using Tally.so + ConvertKit.

✅ Step 1: Identify Your “Abandon Point”

You need to define when someone is considered “incomplete” or “abandoned.” Examples:

  • Filled out interest form but didn’t schedule
  • Attended free consult but didn’t purchase
  • Downloaded lead magnet but didn’t book

✅ Step 2: Set Up a Tally Form With Tagging

  1. Go to Tally.so → Create new form
  2. Add fields: Name, Email, Interest Area, Service Type
  3. Under “Integrations,” connect to ConvertKit
  4. Tag contacts as:
    • Consult-Filled
    • Did-Not-Book (you’ll apply this with a time delay later)

✅ Step 3: Build a Follow-Up Sequence in ConvertKit

  1. Go to Automations → New Automation
  2. Set trigger: Tag added → Consult-Filled
  3. Add a delay: Wait 2 days
  4. Add condition: Has NOT booked (Tag = Booked)
  5. Send email: Subject: “Still thinking it over?” | Body: “Hi [Name], just wanted to check in. Totally okay if you’re not ready — but if you have questions or want to chat more, here’s my calendar. Spots are limited this week!” [Insert Calendly link]

✅ Step 4: Optional — Add Multiple Touchpoints

  1. Day 4 → Send testimonial or case study
  2. Day 6 → Offer a limited-time bonus or reminder
  3. Day 8 → Invite feedback or exit survey (even this can drive re-engagement)

  1. When someone books a paid service, apply tag Booked
  2. Add rule in automation to remove them from follow-up emails
