Create a Client Resource Library in Minutes

Create a Client Resource Library in Minutes

Give your clients access to trusted guides, tools, and how-tos — without answering the same questions over and over.

June 30, 2025 | David

Background & Why This Matters

Clients often ask:

  • “What foods should I eat post-workout?”
  • “Do you have a list of stretches for lower back pain?”
  • “Where can I find your cancellation policy?”

Instead of sending one-off PDFs or voice notes, you can create a centralized resource hub once — and use it forever.

It saves time, increases your perceived value, and gives clients more support between sessions.

What You’ll Achieve

You’ll set up a professional resource library that:

  • Lives on your website, Notion, or Google Drive
  • Hosts handouts, videos, PDFs, FAQs, and links
  • Is accessible 24/7 for your clients (or gated behind signup)
  • Can be updated anytime without re-sending links

What to Expect After Setup

  • Clients feel more empowered and supported
  • You field fewer repeat questions
  • You come across as an organized, high-value provider

What You’ll Need

You’ll only need 45-60 minutes (expect ~10 minutes after setup to update) and free/low-cost tools to get started:

  • Platform like Notion, Google Drive, Dropbox, Website, Stan Store
  • Content Types like PDFs, videos, Google Docs, audio files, forms
  • Optional extras like link in bio, access control (freebie, payroll, invite-only)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Create a Resource Hub in Notion

  1. Go to Notion.so
  2. Create a new page: Client Resource Library
  3. Add sections like:
    • Getting Started
    • Nutrition Guides
    • Mobility + Movement
    • Mindset + Habits
    • Session FAQs
    • Policies + Contact

Step 2: Upload or Embed Your Content

  • PDFs: Drag and drop into the section
  • Videos: Upload directly or paste YouTube/Vimeo/Loom links
  • Google Docs/Forms: Paste links and label clearly
  • Canva designs: Use the “Share as website” link for visual handouts

Each section can include:

  • A brief description
  • A downloadable resource
  • Optional client action (e.g., complete, review, implement)

Step 3: Customize Access and Branding

  1. Add your logo and brand colors (use callout blocks or custom covers)
  2. Write a welcome message at the top
  3. Set sharing settings:
    • Public (open access)
    • Private (invite-only or password-protected using Super.so or Potion)

Step 4: Share the Resource Hub

  • Add the link to:
    • Your onboarding email
    • Bio link tool (Linktree, Beacons)
    • Email signature
    • Client dashboard (see blog #17)

Step 5: Update As Needed

  • Add new resources monthly or quarterly
  • Highlight updates in your newsletter
  • Use it as a growing knowledge base over time
